Happy New Year!
Christmas 2013
Good morning sleepy heads! Even with a 14 year old and a 12 year old we still have to tell them 6:30 a.m. is the earliest we can get up!! Love that they still have Christmas jitters! We didn't get many photos this year of the Holidays but some highlights....Gpa and Gma Hohosh came home from their mission, Dallin turned 12 and received the Priesthood and the boys got an Xbox from Santa :)

Pow Mow 2013-14
Friends
Mom had the chance this year to spend a few hours at dinner with some of her closest friends from High School. It was fun to reminisce about the past but more fun to see and hear about the grown up lives we are leading and the families we are raising. I feel lucky to know and be a part of these girls' lives.
Lights Camera Action
Dallin had the opportunity to help in the filming of a Mormon Ad about bullying. He spent almost all of one school day on set in Layton with his buddies Carson and Bridger. They enjoyed eating all the snacks on set and had a few moments of glory riding skateboards in the background of the main shot.
Run Santa Run
To kick of the Holiday season we all signed up to run the Santa Run in downtown Ogden. It was very fun and was also fun to run with our friends The Greicos, Binghams, and Plickas :). Mom ran her best 5k time at 27 something minutes :). Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas!!
Science Fair 2014
This year Dallin had the opportunity to be a part of the 6th grade science fair. His question....Got Wax? Since he was interested in skiing this upcoming winter he wanted to know if waxing your skis would make a difference in your speed. His conclusion, yes, wax does make a slight difference. His favorite part of the project was using Mom's iron to melt wax onto the wooden ramps and then sliding ice down them :)

4 wheelin'
One of our favorite things to do in Moab is to 4 wheel. This year Trav and I rode behind the boys as they drove. It was weird, scary, and sad that they are getting big enough to do so. This year we found a new ride called 10 mile wash it was so pretty this time of year and we can't wait to take Gpa Jim on it. We also got to do our favorite ride - Hurrah Pass.
Fiery Furnace
Another hike we went on inside Arches was called the Fiery Furnace. It was a guided hike. We had a great time and enjoyed learning about the geology behind Arches.
Arches 0ctober 2013
For Fall Break this year we took a quick trip to Moab. While there we spent a couple of days hiking Arches. Here we are in front of Delicate Arch. It was so amazing and so worth the mile and a half walk in.
Below are some fun photos of our hike:

Reno
The half way point between Anchor Bay, CA and home was Reno, NV. On our way to Anchor Bay we stayed at Circus Circus. It was fun! Here they had candy jars full of banana runts! Who would have thought! It was awesome. The boys also had a great time playing in the arcade. We come away with about 20 bucks worth of stuffed animals and a cool orange mustache ;) On the way home we stayed in Reno again and went to the live show of Greece. I love the music, but it was a little risky with two teenage boys. Not sure I would recommend it. We will chalk that one up to a good learning experience and a conversation about what NOT to do in school and in life!
Happy Birthday to Mom!
It was fun to be on vacation for my birthday. The boys were very sweet. They each found me a cute, singing card, and two very large yummy cupcakes. It was very thoughtful and one birthday I will always remember ;)
Kayaking
I was soooooo scared to do this, but soooooo glad we did it! Definitely something we will never forget! We kayaked through some neat caves and right out to a nesting spot of some sea lions. We were only a few feet from them. We got to hold a starfish pulled right off of the sea cave wall and held a jellyfish. The boys even tried eating some seaweed. Some of it is ediable - who knew? The boys rode together in a kayak and Trav and I together. The boys fought about how to paddle, and when to paddle, and who was not doing this and that right. Obviously they need to spend more time together in confined areas so they learn to get along!!! No, it was quite funny actually. Trav and I got pushed into one of the cave walls as the tide was coming in out and almost fell out! It was scary - but I am so glad I didn't go in. The water here was filled with so much seaweed.
