Pow Mow 2013-14

Ski season couldn't come fast enough this year for Dallin and Mom.  As soon as Christmas break was here we hit the slopes.  Dallin had his first ski lesson with Colin Cox.  He picked it up really fast and is loving every moment we are able to go!  Powder Mountain has some truly breath taking views, we have been able to catch a few on camera.  One big accomplishent for us was conquering the Sunrise lift after a not so graceful attempt last year :). We found two, now favorite runs "Sunrise" and "Clair's Run."

Friends

Mom had the chance this year to spend a few hours at dinner with some of her closest friends from High School.  It was  fun to reminisce about the past but more fun to see and hear about the grown up lives we are leading and the families we are raising.  I feel lucky to know and be a part of these girls' lives.

Lights Camera Action

Dallin had the opportunity to help in the filming of a Mormon Ad about bullying.  He spent almost all of one school day on set in Layton with his buddies Carson and Bridger.  They enjoyed eating all the snacks on set and had a few moments of glory riding skateboards in the background of the main shot.

Run Santa Run

To kick of the Holiday season we all signed up to run the Santa Run in downtown Ogden.  It was very fun and was also fun to run with our friends The Greicos, Binghams, and Plickas :). Mom ran her best 5k time at 27 something minutes :). Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas!!

Science Fair 2014

This year Dallin had the opportunity to be a part of the 6th grade science fair.  His question....Got Wax?  Since he was interested in skiing this upcoming winter he wanted to know if waxing your skis would make a difference in your speed.  His conclusion, yes, wax does make a slight difference.  His favorite part of the project was using Mom's iron to melt wax onto the wooden ramps and then sliding ice down them :)
